FAQs - Safety

Q: I am extremely out of shape. Can I safely use KPT?

A: While any exercise that can help has the potential to also cause injury, the KPT may be considered a safe device, even if you are out of shape.  There are three KPT workouts: Beginner, Basic, and Advanced.  The Beginner workout involves only isometric strengthening and was designed for people with de-conditioned core muscles.  If you have any doubt about your ability to this or any other workout, we strongly recommend that you discuss it with your doctor BEFORE YOU BEGIN ANY NEW EXERCISE.  Getting a stronger core means doing more work and more intense exercise on KPT over time; we strongly recommend the you proceed gradually.  If you develop pain or any other symptoms while or after doing any form of exercise, including KPT, you should STOP that exercise and see your doctor.
