FAQs - How To Use KPT On Platform Beds
Q: I have a platform bed which rests flat on the floor. There are no "feet" to attach KPT to. Can I still use KPT on my bed?
A: Not impossible, but you will have to be creative. The following are ways around your problem, but you will need to decide whether or not making one of these accommodations makes sense for you:
1) Place a 1/2" or thicker disc (sometimes called furniture sliders) under each corner of your platform bed. This will raise the bed enough to secure the webbing and use your KPT. However, you will not be able to store the KPT beneath the bed between workouts. Click here to view typical furniture sliders.
2) Screw two eye hooks into one side of the platform base; feed one of the two long webbing sections through one of the eye hooks, and the other long webbing section through the other eye hook; run the webbing under the platform base; attach KPT as normally. Here also you will not be able to store the KPT beneath the bed between workouts.
